Jammu, Feb 6: Chief of Army Staff Gen Upendra Dwivedi visited White Knight Corps (XVI Corps) headquarters Friday, evaluating operational readiness and the security situation in Jammu region.
He received briefings on the counter-terrorism framework and lauded joint force synergy. Gen Dwivedi commended stakeholders’ efforts, stressing vigilance, people-centric ops, and Corps leadership’s role in maintaining peace.
In a special ceremony, he awarded a commendation disc to Majalta SHO Sub-Inspector Abdul Satar Choudhary for his pivotal contribution to a Joffer forest (Ramnagar, Udhampur) operation eliminating two Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists.
