Seoul Apr 11: An Indian Ambassador to South Korea held a productive meeting with Mr Kim Byeong Min, Vice Mayor of Seoul City, to deepen cooperation between the Embassy and the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The discussion focused on the upcoming India Day celebrations at Yeouido Hangang Park and the International Yoga Day event at Gwanghwamun Square, both aimed at strengthening cultural ties and public engagement between India and Seoul.
Vice Mayor Kim also presented a plaque of appreciation from the Mayor of Seoul, recognising India’s donation of Rajasthan sandstone for the Garden of Gratitude Project at Gwanghwamun Square, which honours India’s humanitarian support during the Korean War. The gesture underlined the enduring gratitude of the South Korean people and added a symbolic cultural touchstone to the growing India–Seoul partnership.
