New Delhi, Mar 8: Air India is ramping up with 78 extra flights across nine international routes from March 10-18, offering 17,660 more seats to ease travel snarls from the West Asia conflict.
The boost hits Europe hubs—London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Zurich, Paris—plus New York, Colombo, and Male, using B787-8s mostly (B777-300ER for NYC, A320neo for Male/Colombo), pending approvals.
Air India cited surging demand for steady options as tensions spike oil prices and reroute flights, helping stranded passengers and holidaymakers get home or onward fast.
