New Delhi, May 23 : Former Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, on Friday met Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh at the party’s Central Headquarters in New Delhi and discussed issues related to Ladakh’s administrative and developmental landscape.
During the meeting, Adv. Gyalson expressed gratitude to the BJP leader for his support in the creation of five new districts in Ladakh and for facilitating the issuance of the formal Gazette Notification pertaining to the administrative restructuring.
According to sources, the discussion also covered a range of issues concerning Ladakh, including matters linked to governance, regional development and administrative strengthening in the Union Territory.
Adv. Gyalson is understood to have sought continued guidance and support from the party leadership for addressing emerging concerns and developmental priorities in Ladakh.
The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of ongoing administrative changes and political developments in the Union Territory following the recent expansion of district-level administrative structures.
B.L. Santhosh, who oversees organisational affairs of the BJP at the national level, has been actively involved in matters concerning party coordination and governance-related outreach across various regions of the country.
Officials familiar with the interaction described the meeting as part of continued engagement between Ladakh’s political leadership and the party’s central leadership on issues concerning the region’s governance and development trajectory.
