Billawar, April 15 : Additional Deputy Commissioner Billawar, Vinay Khosla (JKAS), today chaired a meeting of officers and officials at PWD Guest House to review and finalize arrangements for the forthcoming Baisakhi Festival to be organized by the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu at Kali Mata Mandir Ground, Billawar on April 20, 2026.
During the meeting, a representative of the Tourism Department presented a detailed outline of the cultural programmes and other activities planned for the occasion, aimed at showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The ADC stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all departments for the smooth and successful conduct of the festival. He directed JKPDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply and instructed the PHE Department to make adequate arrangements for safe drinking water at the venue. Other departments were also briefed regarding their roles and responsibilities to ensure efficient management of the event.
CEO BBDA, Atul Gupta, and Assistant Director Tourism, Rajesh Raina, also joined the meeting virtually and shared their valuable inputs.
Tehsildar Billawar, Surinder Singh (JKAS), SHO Billawar, Zaheer Manhas, along with officers and representatives from various departments, were also present at the meeting.
