Srinagar, Jul 31: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has summoned 552 candidates selected in the 2020 Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) recruitment to undergo fresh height measurement as part of its ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.

The fresh measurement is being conducted in connection with FIR No. 01/2025 registered at Police Station ACB Central, Jammu, as part of the Bureau’s probe into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.

Among them, 130 candidates from Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal will report at District Police Lines (DPL), Srinagar; 124 candidates from Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara at DPL Baramulla; and 93 candidates from Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam at DPL Anantnag.

In the Jammu division, 82 candidates from Jammu, Kathua and Samba have been directed to report at DPL Jammu, 56 candidates from Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban at DPL Doda, 38 candidates from Rajouri and Poonch at DPL Rajouri, and 29 candidates from Udhampur and Reasi at DPL Udhampur.

The ACB has also asked all district Senior Superintendents of Police to inform the concerned candidates through the Police Control Rooms (PCRs) and ensure their presence at the designated venues. Assistant Directors of the Fire and Emergency Services Department have likewise been instructed to facilitate the attendance of candidates from their respective jurisdictions.

The investigation pertains to the 2020 recruitment, under which 690 candidates, including 592 Firemen and 98 Fireman Drivers, were selected. The ACB has been examining allegations of irregularities in the selection process, and the fresh height verification forms part of the ongoing inquiry.
