Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed reports of his marriage with longtime partner Gauri Spratt. The actor revealed that the couple will tie the knot on July 5, marking his third marriage.
Speaking to media on Thursday, Aamir said, “I am currently in the United States. The wedding news is true. Our wedding will take place on July 5.”
The announcement comes just months after the actor had stated that marriage was not a priority for him and that he was already happy in his relationship with Gauri. However, Aamir now says their feelings have evolved over time.
“We both now feel that it is the right time to take our relationship to the next level,” the actor said, “Gauri and I are very serious about each other. We share a strong relationship. In my heart, I already consider myself her husband. Giving this relationship the name of marriage feels like a natural next step for us.”
Gauri Spratt is a Bengaluru-based salon entrepreneur and fashion professional. Aamir had publicly introduced her during his 60th birthday celebrations in 2025, officially confirming their relationship.
She comes from a multicultural background, with a Tamil-British father and a Punjabi-Irish mother. Gauri is also the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, the British communist associated with India’s freedom movement during the 1920s.
Like Aamir, Gauri was previously married and has a seven-year-old son. Reports suggest that she and her child have been living in Mumbai for the past two years. The couple has reportedly known each other for nearly 25 years and were close friends before they began dating.
Since making their relationship public, Gauri has frequently been seen accompanying Aamir at various social gatherings and industry events.
Aamir Khan first married film producer Reena Dutta in 1986. Their marriage lasted around 16 years before the couple divorced in 2002. They have two children together — Junaid Khan and Ira Khan.
Following his separation from Reena, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The couple welcomed their son Azad through IVF. After 15 years of marriage, Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in July 2021 through a joint statement.
Despite their divorce, the two have maintained a cordial relationship and continue to co-parent their son. They also collaborate professionally on projects, including the Paani Foundation and film-related ventures.
