RAJOURI, JUNE 20 : Operation Sheruwali entered its 29th consecutive day on Saturday, with security forces continuing intensive search and cordon operations in the dense forests of the Gambhir Mughlan area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
Troops have stepped up surveillance and area domination measures across the rugged terrain marked by steep slopes and thick vegetation, maintaining a high state of alert to track suspected militant movement.
The prolonged operation highlights the sustained efforts of security forces to maintain peace and stability in the border district.
Launched in late May, Operation Sheruwali is a multi-agency counter-terror mission aimed at locating and neutralising armed infiltrators believed to be hiding in the mountainous Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan sector.
