LEH: Bhartiya Janta Party Ladakh Unit extended congratulations to noted cultural personalities Ali Mohd and Sadiq Ali on being selected for two of the country’s prominent cultural honours, describing the recognition as a matter of pride for Ladakh and its rich artistic traditions.
In a statement issued here, the party extended its greetings to Ali Mohd on being conferred the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award 2025 and to Sadiq Ali on receiving the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2025.
The BJP Ladakh Unit said the awards recognise the recipients’ sustained contribution towards preserving, promoting and enriching Ladakh’s musical heritage, which forms an integral part of the region’s cultural identity.
The party observed that the national honours reflect the dedication and commitment of the awardees in safeguarding traditional art forms and ensuring that Ladakh’s cultural legacy continues to thrive across generations.
Congratulating both artists, BJP Ladakh noted that their achievements have brought national recognition to the cultural traditions of the Union Territory and have served as an inspiration for aspiring musicians and cultural practitioners.
