Leh, Apr 7: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh visited the University of Ladakh’s Taru Campus, engaging with faculty and students while reviewing facilities like the Ladakh-specific Modelling and Space Applications (LAMA) and Forensic Science Laboratory.
He stressed strengthening local institutions to reduce student migration to other states, assuring full support to transform the university into a premier “Green University” with improved infrastructure, forensic sciences, and research focus.
“Together, we shall enhance academic excellence, student welfare, and evidence-based research, making Ladakh a hub of knowledge,” the LG said.
The visit included planting a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative in memory of his mother, and gifting 100 saplings of bamboo, Gulmohar, Amaltas, and Jacaranda to green the campus.
