Srinagar, Mar 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Monday issued a notification for elections to three financial committees, each with 11 members, following Regulation No. 2(1) for proportional representation via single transferable vote. Speaker Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather announced key dates: nominations close April 4, 2026 (up to 3 PM), scrutiny on April 6 (up to 3 PM), withdrawals by April 8 (up to 3 PM), and polls if needed on April 13 (up to 3 PM). He appointed Additional Secretary Bilal Ahmed Bhat as Returning Officer to manage the process.
