New Delhi, Feb 12: Italy registered its maiden T20 World Cup victory, demolishing Nepal by 10 wickets in Mumbai with over 7 overs to spare.
Nepal managed 123 all out, crippled by Italy’s spinners Crishan Kalugamage (3-18), Ben Manenti, and JJ Smuts (combined 6-49). Aasif Sheikh top-scored with 27 off 24.
Opening brothers Justin Mosca (62*) and Anthony Mosca (60*) then bludgeoned the chase in a 124/0 romp, trading sixes early to silence Nepal’s crowd support at Wankhede.
Kalugamage earned Player of the Match. Italy earns vital Group C points; Nepal suffers back-to-back losses.
