Progress on Udhampur CAPEX Projects Reviewed
Udhampur, Oct 08: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, today underlined the urgency of expediting developmental works across the district, directing all departments to complete ongoing projects under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) by March 2026.
In a comprehensive review meeting with senior district officers, the DC conducted an in-depth assessment of progress under the District Capex Budget 2025–26, DDC/BDC/PRI grants, ADP, Untied Grants, ABDP, and the labour budget performance under MGNREGA. She scrutinized department-wise progress, evaluating the performance of key sectors including Irrigation, PHE, PWD, RDD, Health, Education, and JPDCL, to ensure that projects were on track and funds were being effectively utilized.
The meeting, attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, IAS Probationer Seerat Baji, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash, and other officials, focused on strengthening project execution, monitoring timelines, and maintaining transparency.
Rai emphasized that all departments must ensure 100 percent allotment of works at the earliest and accelerate fund utilization. She instructed Block Development Officers to prioritize pending projects in a mission-mode approach and initiate billing for completed works without delay.
The DC further urged executing agencies to adhere strictly to project timelines, conduct regular site inspections, and maintain quality and transparency in developmental works across the district.
