Jammu, Aug 24: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s flight to Jammu on Thursday faced a mid-air snag and had to return to New Delhi.
Singh was en route to Kishtwar district’s Chashoti village, recently hit by a devastating cloudburst, to review the relief and rehabilitation measures. Accompanying him on the aircraft was Union MoS in the PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh. Despite the technical issue, officials confirmed that there was no cause for concern regarding safety.
Arrangements were swiftly made for the Defence Minister to travel to Jammu on an alternate aircraft, ensuring that his scheduled visit to the disaster-affected area continues as planned. Singh is going to Kishtwar’s Chishoti Village to oversee the situation on the ground and extend central support to affected families.
