Jammu, Dec 23: Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has launched the formal process to promote Inspectors from the General Executive Cadre to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) under the designated promotion quota.
An official communication dispatched from Police HQ Jammu directs the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, and Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, to promptly provide vigilance clearance certificates or non-involvement reports for the 95 eligible Inspectors under consideration.
The move underscores ongoing efforts to streamline cadre progression within J&K Police, ensuring only officers with clean vigilance records advance to senior supervisory roles. This batch promotion initiative follows standard protocols, involving multi-zone verification to maintain departmental integrity and operational efficiency.
