Dubai, Oct 3: Five Indian nationals were rescued after a Kuwait-flagged tanker was struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, the Indian mission in Oman said on Saturday.
In a post on X, the Indian Embassy said it coordinated the rescue of the five Indian nationals aboard MT Kazimah III, who were safely brought ashore.
The mission thanked Omani authorities for their support and assistance during the rescue operation.
The embassy did not provide further details about the projectile strike or identify its source. The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region.
