Leh, Sept 29: The health condition of a 21-year-old woman airlifted from Leh to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, for advanced treatment on September 25 has been declared stable. She is undergoing care at the Intensive Care Unit of AIIMS Trauma Centre.
According to Dr Rinchen Chosdol, Medical Superintendent of SNM Hospital, Leh, the patient is now in her third day post-surgery. Doctors at AIIMS confirmed that she was extubated on Monday and is maintaining adequate oxygen levels with nasal prongs. Her hemodynamic condition is reported stable, and she has begun taking oral feeds.
Officials further stated that the patient is receiving continuous monitoring and necessary medical support. The Member Secretary of Ashoka Mission, a social worker from the organization, along with the patient’s mother, are presently at AIIMS to provide support. Authorities have assured that all possible medical attention is being extended to her.
The patient had been airlifted from Leh last week in view of her need for advanced medical intervention, underscoring the critical role of timely evacuation and coordinated healthcare in the region.
