NEW DELHI, OCT 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered prayers at the Shri Vinayaka Temple in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, marking 25 years since he first took charge as head of government.
Modi began his journey as a head of government on October 7, 2001, when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After serving three terms, he went on to become the Prime Minister of India and has since won three consecutive Lok Sabha elections.
During his temple visit, the Prime Minister performed puja and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and good health of people across the country.
In a post on X, Modi said he sought the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the ‘Vignaharta’ or remover of obstacles, and prayed that the nation continue to move forward on the path of growth and development.
Government sources said Modi also renewed his pledge to serve the country with the utmost dedication as he completed 25 years at the helm of government.
