JAMMU, June 13: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today met Amit Shah in New Delhi and apprised him of the prevailing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting took place following a security review meeting on the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra, chaired by the Union Home Minister.
During the one-to-one interaction, Sinha is understood to have provided a detailed briefing on the overall security scenario in the Union Territory, including ongoing efforts to curb narco-terrorism and the progress of anti-terror operations being conducted by security agencies.
The discussions also focused on measures being taken to maintain peace and strengthen security arrangements across Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the annual pilgrimage.
