Leh, May 27 : The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh on Tuesday hosted students and teachers from PM Shri High School Skalzangling as part of an educational exposure visit aimed at promoting experiential, activity-based and child-centred learning practices among school students.

During the visit, students were introduced to various academic sections of DIET Leh, including the Balvatika Model Room, where faculty members demonstrated innovative teaching methods and interactive learning tools designed to encourage creativity and conceptual understanding among children.

Officials said the exposure programme was intended to familiarise students with modern pedagogical practices and provide them with opportunities to engage with practical and experiential modes of learning beyond the conventional classroom environment.

Faculty members guided the students through different learning spaces and explained the importance of creative classroom activities, learner-friendly teaching approaches and contextualised educational resources in improving foundational learning outcomes.

Students actively participated in demonstrations conducted during the visit and displayed keen interest in educational models, laboratory resources and the contextualised “Jadui Pitara Box” locally referred to as “Mig Thrul Gi Gum”.

The Balvatika model set up at DIET Leh also drew enthusiastic participation from students, who interacted with activity-based learning materials and classroom tools designed for foundational education.

Teachers accompanying the students appreciated the efforts of DIET Leh in creating an engaging educational environment and observed that such exposure visits helped broaden students’ understanding while fostering curiosity, creativity and practical learning skills.

Faculty members of DIET Leh expressed gratitude to PM Shri High School Skalzangling for organising the visit and encouraging students to experience innovative educational practices through interactive learning platforms.
