Leh, May 07: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ladakh unit on Tuesday hailed the party’s electoral performance in West Bengal and Assam, with senior leaders from the Union Territory extending congratulations to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and attributing the outcome to what they described as sustained public confidence in the BJP’s governance and development agenda.
A delegation led by BJP Ladakh president Tashi Gyaltsan Khachu met Rijiju on May 5 and conveyed greetings on behalf of the party’s Ladakh cadre following the declaration of results in the two states. The delegation also included former Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, along with former councillor Karma Namdak.
In a statement issued in Leh, the BJP leaders said the electoral verdict reflected the electorate’s endorsement of the party’s policies, welfare initiatives and administrative approach. They maintained that the results underscored growing public support for the BJP’s emphasis on inclusive development and welfare-driven governance.
The Ladakh BJP leadership credited the party’s performance to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Nitin Nabin, while also acknowledging the contribution of the party’s central leadership and organisational network at the grassroots level.
According to the statement, the leaders said the mandate carried wider political resonance as it demonstrated continued voter confidence in the BJP’s national leadership and policy direction across regions.
They further asserted that the outcome would reinforce the party’s commitment towards public outreach, welfare measures and development-oriented governance in different parts of the country, including Ladakh.
