Leh, Mar 12: The Leh district administration on Thursday reviewed the availability and stock position of LPG and other petroleum products during a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh, Mukul Beniwal at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
The meeting focused on assessing the current stock of LPG, diesel and kerosene across various areas of the district to ensure uninterrupted supply for residents.
Assistant Director of the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Ruth Mary, briefed the chair on the existing availability and distribution status of essential petroleum products in the district. She informed the meeting that adequate stocks of LPG, diesel and kerosene are presently available to meet the demand of the public.
Officials representing major oil marketing companies also participated in the review meeting, including representatives from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited stationed in Leh.
The interaction served as a coordination platform between the district administration and petroleum suppliers to monitor supply levels and maintain consistent availability of essential fuel commodities across the high-altitude district. Officials present in the meeting also discussed logistical aspects related to the supply chain in remote areas of Leh.
The district administration said such periodic reviews help maintain oversight on fuel stocks and ensure timely response to public requirements.
