Jammu, 12 Feb: The Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a one-day Workshop on Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan–2026 at the BJP J&K Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The workshop aimed at strengthening organizational capacity, ideological clarity, and disciplined functioning of party cadres at all levels.
The Mahabhiyan workshop was addressed by BJP National General Secretary and Prabhari J&K Tarun Chugh (National Co-convenor of the Abhiyan), MLA and Zonal Co-convenor for the Mahabhiyan Ajay Mahawar, and J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul. J&K BJP Vice-President Priya Sethi, General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria, Anwar Khan, and Gopal Mahajan also addressed the workshop. The workshop was attended by state office bearers, district Prabharis and Seh-Prabharis, district presidents, and four-member teams from each district.
Addressing the workshop, Tarun Chugh said that the BJP is a party with a distinct identity which places the highest importance on discipline and ideology. He said that regular workshops are an integral part of the BJP’s organizational culture, aimed at training and acquainting party cadres with the party’s ideology, policies, and contemporary issues. He elaborated on various organizational topics with the help of a detailed PowerPoint presentation.Such structured training makes our leaders and workers more mature, responsible, and capable of serving the nation and society while remaining firmly within the framework of party discipline, he said.
Ajay Mahawar said that while society and politics continuously undergo transformation with changing times, the party’s core ideology remains constant. He emphasized that from senior leaders to booth-level activists, every cadre must remain updated about the party’s ideological stand, changing geo-political realities, and the BJP’s viewpoint. He also explained in detail the methodology of carrying this message effectively and conducting such workshops down to the grassroots level.
Ashok Koul discussed the threadbare details of the entire Mahabhiyan programme series, including planning workshops and training sessions to be conducted up to the Shakti Kendra level. He informed that 20 senior leaders from J&K BJP will participate in the North Zone Mahabhiyan workshop to be held in Chandigarh, ensuring uniformity and effectiveness in implementation.
Priya Sethi highlighted the dedication, commitment, and teamwork required from the Mahabhiyan team for the successful execution of this important organizational programme.
Baldev Singh Billawaria presented the vote of thanks and said that such workshops strengthen ideological clarity of party cadre.
