Leh, Jan 23: Jammu & Kashmir Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (JKDFC Ltd.) has provided 50 trolley stretchers and 50 wheelchairs to Sonam Norboo Memorial Hospital (Sonam Norboo Memorial Hospital), Leh, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The medical equipment was handed over to support patient movement and ease hospital operations, particularly for patients requiring assisted mobility. The hospital administration stated that the addition of wheelchairs and trolley stretchers would improve patient handling and help in delivering smoother healthcare services.
The CSR initiative was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Kajal, Managing Director, JKDFC Ltd., reflecting the Corporation’s continued focus on public welfare and community-oriented initiatives. The hospital authorities expressed gratitude to JKDFC for extending timely assistance to the district’s main healthcare facility.
The administration of SNM Hospital also acknowledged the contribution of Smt. Kamakshi Singh, Assistant General Manager and Company Secretary, and Gulzar Hussain, Management Executive (Accounts & Finance), for their role in coordinating and implementing the initiative.
JKDFC Ltd. has been regularly undertaking CSR activities across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, with healthcare remaining one of its priority areas, aimed at supporting public institutions and improving access to essential services.
