Jammu: Train services in the Jammu Division will operate on revised timings from January 1 2026 following the annual timetable revision undertaken by railway authorities. The updated schedule applies to nearly 33 trains and is aimed at improving punctuality and operational efficiency, officials said on Wednesday.
The revision impacts trains running through major stations including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Udhampur, Jammu and Pathankot. Railway sources said the changes were introduced after reviewing speed restrictions, infrastructure improvements and operational constraints to reduce travel time and ensure smoother movement of services.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to provide passengers with faster and more convenient rail travel while maintaining better inter train connectivity. He noted that the revised timings are expected to result in time savings for passengers.
Travellers have been advised to check the updated schedules before commencing their journeys. The revised timetable is available on the Indian Railways website as well as official passenger information platforms and helpline services.
