Jammu, Jul 18: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat conducted a comprehensive review of the prevailing security scenario and ongoing anti-terror operations in the mountainous districts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban. The visit focused on assessing the law and order situation while strengthening counter-terror strategies in the region.

During his visit to Bhaderwah and Batote, the DGP stressed the urgent need to eliminate both existing and newly emerging terrorist outfits operating from the higher reaches of these districts. He called for intensified intelligence-gathering efforts and enhanced operational efficiency to dismantle terror networks and disrupt support systems aiding anti-national elements.

At the range police headquarters in Batote, the DGP reviewed security readiness, law enforcement coordination, and administrative preparedness. He was briefed by Deputy Inspector General Shridhar Patil and other senior district police officers on the latest developments and deployment strategies.

A high-level meeting held in Bhaderwah focused on evaluating security arrangements for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra and reviewing tactical counter-terror deployments. The DGP commended the efforts of both civil and police administrations in ensuring the smooth and peaceful conduct of the pilgrimage. He reiterated the importance of strengthening the intelligence infrastructure to support proactive operations and safeguard the welfare of security personnel.

By emphasizing better inter-agency coordination and robust intelligence mechanisms, the DGP’s visit aimed to reinforce a unified approach to maintaining peace and stability in the region, ensuring that law enforcement remains vigilant and prepared against any threats.
